Police say in 72 hours no citizens died from crime

Policía dice en 72 horas no murieron ciudadanos por delincuencia

The National Police assured that in the last 72 hours the citizen deaths because of crime «Keep at zero» due to the “Effectiveness of the prevention and patrol service” carried out by the institution.

In the police report of December 8, there were no deaths due to violence or fights, with which “the efforts to achieve greater and better peaceful coexistence are strengthened.”

Likewise, the military body emphasized that it “continues to provide responses at the national level to cases of registered robberies” with the arrest of the people involved in the events and the recovery of the stolen goods.

Police actions in December

In December, the National Police deployed thousands of agents on the streets, in coordination with military personnel, to increase patrols and control crime.

To these actions are added the strategies of the law enforcement body, within the reform plan for its professionalization and technification, with the impulse of President Luis Abinader.

As part of the new strategies, patrolling by quadrants was innovated and the incorporation of 336 members into tactical units, with more skills and training to deal with crime.
