For Caamaño, the leak of the trip to Lago Escondido is " from JxC’s own intern"

For Caamaño, the leak of the trip to Lago Escondido is " from JxC's own intern"

“We are before people who believe they are unpunished,” said Caamaño.

The ex-intervention of the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI), Cristina Caamaño, considered this Saturday that the leak of the chats between magistrates, Buenos Aires officials and media businessmen about a trip to Lago Escondido, where the English magnate Joe Lewis owns a stay, it was “a hack by the inmate of Together for Change (JxC)” and he assured that the organization he headed “had nothing to do” with that leak.

“I am convinced that it was a hack from the JxC inmate itself. When I arrived at the AFI there were a lot of City Police officers fulfilling their role as intelligence agents. We decided to return them to their place of origin, but I must presume that they knew how to do illegal espionage,” the lawyer said in statements to Radio Cooperativa.

In this sense, Caamaño maintained that when he took over as head of the AFI he did not know what the specific role of each of his agents was, and he remarked that “during macrismo strategic intelligence was not carried out, but only illegal espionage.”

“I don’t know who these police officers were responding to, if (former Security Minister Patricia) Bullrich and (deputy Gerardo) Milman or (the Security Minister of the City of Buenos Aires Marcelo) D’Alessandro,” Caamaño said.

Judges Julián Ercolini, Pablo Yadarola, Pablo Cayssials, Carlos Mahiques, the Buenos Aires prosecutor Juan Batista Mahiques, and the Minister of the City, Marcelo D’Alessandro, made a trip to Lago Escondido last October, and later in a chat group they coordinated a false version to justify the fact, among other reported irregularities by the national government, who accused them of “failure to comply with the duties of a public official and gifts”.

Through a hack, the information of the conversations held by those involved in this chat group of the Telegram messaging service was extracted from D’Alessandro’s cell phone.

The prosecutor has already asked to investigate those involved

Meanwhile, the federal prosecutor of Bariloche, María Cándida Etchepare, requested this week that the people who made this trip be investigated by the Federal Justice for the crime of gifts.

For Caamaño, the leak may have its origin in a dispute that Milman has with D’Alessandro or with an inmate that the Buenos Aires minister has with the City Police.

“Here the AFI has nothing to do. I can assure you of that. We are facing people who believe they are unpunished. We have to repudiate what these people did. In those conversations, lawfare was represented in all its splendor. Everyone was there, even the hegemonic media plus the judicial body and right-wing officials. There was even a former AFI agent going to Lago Escondido, a lake kidnapped by an Englishman,” he remarked.

On the other hand, Caamaño referred to the decision of the Federal Oral Court (TOF) number 2 that sentenced Vice President Cristina Fernández to six years in prison and perpetual disqualification in the trial of the Road case.

“Just as (former President Juan Domingo) Perón was banned for 18 years, now they are banning the Vice President through lawfare. We have to think that it is not something directed exclusively for Cristina, but for all of Argentina. They are outlawing Kirchnerism. They go to the state. It is the right wing that intends to govern a people they hate. It’s almost unbelievable,” she said.
