An official of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) was arrested in Independencia (Yaracuy), for being allegedly involved in the crime of human trafficking, according to judicial sources.
The soldier is identified as Danny Josué Padilla Bermúdez, with the rank of lieutenant, who was driving a black Chevrolet Aveo, license plates AA836TU.
The investigation began as a result of a complaint made by the mother of a teenager, who told the Yaracuy regional police that her daughter was missing. The lady herself said that she was allegedly captured by a network that would pick her up around the passenger terminal of the Independencia municipality.
Based on this information, Poliyaracuy deployed a commission in the aforementioned place, resulting in the capture of the soldier who was accompanied by three adolescents, including the complainant’s daughter.
The procedure was reported to the Public Ministry.
