Six people are at the disposal of the public prosecutor’s office after the police detained them in 11 raids in Montevideo and Playa Pascual (San José). There are five men and one woman investigating for being part of or having ties to a drug gang in Uruguay.
The police operation Mamurio allowed to recently seize 112 kilos of base paste and 47 kilos of cocaine, which were transported in vehicles. Furthermore, it was found US$ 100 thousand and $355 thousand in cash.
According to the police, the organization imported large quantities of drugs to later distribute in the metropolitan area.
