The investment amount of the portfolio on this occasion amounts to about 14,800,000 pesos. At the end of 2022, the total value invested by the ministry in this policy will be 270,000,000. The Social Agreements program received a budget increase, which demonstrates the importance that the Government attaches to it, said Falero. He pointed out that the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) enabled an extra item of 130,000,000 pesos, which was added to the 140,000,000 that the portfolio already had. The modality of social agreements has been developed for more than 40 years. “We value the effort of all the people and groups that seek to meet the needs of all the citizens of the country,” stressed the hierarch.
The soccer institutions of the cities of Paysandú and Guichón, Club San Félix and Club Atlético Peñarol, will receive support for infrastructure improvements. The first will be able to build a multipurpose room; meanwhile, Club Peñarol will be able to roof the court for a closed gym and multipurpose room.
Regarding the GuichĂłn Elderly Welfare Commission, the contribution of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (MTOP) will be used for the reconstruction of eleven bathrooms, the expansion of a room and the general painting of the entire home.
In the case of the Yacht Club Paysandú, the contributions will allow the construction of the headquarters, offices and improvements to the façade.
Asked about the works on national routes, Falero reported that there are advances on the routes throughout the department, especially on route 90. “This route will have high traffic and needs these improvements,” he said.
On the tour, the minister was accompanied by the National Director of Architecture, Santiago Borsari, and departmental authorities and directors of the institutions.
