The presidential plate of the Patria Querida Party within the National Concertation, made up of Sebastián Villarejo as candidate for President of the Republic, and Patricia Dos Santos candidate for vice presidency, have as their main axes the frontal fight against corruption, the generation of decent work from the private sector, education as a development tool and care policies for women.
Villarejo, who works as a National Deputy, stands out in the Chamber as one of the legislators who carried out the most complaints. He stands out for his role of comptroller, in charge of public money, with positions against political benefits and waste. The Patria Querida bench has always been characterized by carrying out complaints from the legislature. That is the north for the proposal to the Executive. “In our government, people don’t steal anymore,” Villarejo mentions.
The generation of work is a determining point among his government proposals. “The engine of development is private initiative” sheet metal stands out, taking into account the private sector and announcing public-private alliances for the creation of jobs throughout the national territory. The State is going to stop being a job bank, and is going to start working in coordination with private companies.
As the next point they mention “We are obsessed with education.” They aim to double the budget for education in their government, and to educate and train teachers.

Two Santos emphasizes inequality in labor participation and the wage gap existing between men and women, which represents one of the main sources of inequality in the world and Paraguay is no exception. “To change this reality, it is necessary to implement policies that allow women not only to access a decent and well-paid job, but also to deploy all their abilities in hierarchical positions,” he said, referring to the proposed care policies for the woman.
Finally they mention that To make these projects a reality, citizen participation is needed. “We invite all people to come to vote on December 18 in the internal elections of the concertation. It is the first time that you can choose the best candidate and not the least worse” they refer.
