Users waiting to fill gasoline in the states of Lara and Falcón, complain because they have not been able to access the service supply
Motivated by the failure in the supply of fuel in some gasoline stations in the states of Lara and Falcón, users claim and protest because they have not had access to the service, a situation that has been repeated for several days.
Motorcycle drivers in Barquisimeto report that they cannot find gasoline stations with fuel available to fill up. In the majority of gas stations to the east of the city they do not provide the service, while in others they serve a few.
Enny Fuentes pointed out that “here we have this problem that the gasoline pumps do not want to supply us. At least in this (I / S San Luis) they collected the identity card of only 22 people, and the rest of us do not supply gasoline, when we are more than 100? ”, He questioned.
Accompanied by other motorists who were protesting this situation, Fuentes stressed that many of the drivers who were there work as motorcycle taxis, while others use this means of transportation to get to their workplaces. He also highlighted that, for the most part, they had to stop working to see if they could fill up the gas tank.

“They don’t like serving a motorcycle because it’s only for dispensing 10 liters, it’s easier for them to use a large car because it’s 50 or 90 liters, it’s easier for the firefighters. Fuel is a right for everyone”, said one of the motorists, adding that “it is always the same problem”.
Those affected highlighted that another of the drawbacks they have is that when they manage to find a fuel station that can supply gasoline to motorcycles, they do not accept bolivars.
“When we go to put gas they save the points, they tell us that they do not accept bolivars that are only dollars and as one does if one wins it is in bolivars,” highlighted one of the motorcyclists.
The governor of the state of Lara, Adolfo Pereira, stressed this week that the Government will follow up on this situation, as he asserted that the local currency must be received. “That is our legal tender, it is established by the Trade Law, any inconvenience can be notified through our social networks or through the Citizen Service office.”
Three days of waiting for gasoline
In the state of Falcón, citizens spend up to three days in line to be able to supply gasoline, which includes getting up early without the certainty of knowing if they will have the possibility of supplying fuel.
They also claimed that they are not assigned seats and must remain in other spaces outside the gas station until an official decides.
Jorge Paz, who had been in the queue for three days, told The morning that presumes corruption in the supply of gasoline. “This is inconceivable, it is a lack of respect for those who orderly queue up, we do not want rowdy, what we need is a solution, not repression, we ask the competent authorities for a solution to this chaos.”
“We know that they are charging in dollars to assign a place, so we denounce it because there are people here who have been offered places,” said Juan Lugo.
He also said that if the government does not bring order to the gasoline lines, “we will take to the streets in peaceful protest.”
