The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) of Venezuela, through deployments and operations in different states of the country, has seized more than 40,000 kilograms of drugs so far in 2022, reported the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez.
In a message on his account on the social network Twitter, Hernández Lárez stressed that this amount of drugs has been seized in the different operations carried out by the FANB in its permanent fight against drug trafficking throughout the country.
“More than 40 thousand kilograms of drugs have been seized by the #FANB during the year 2022 in operational deployments in different modalities. Venezuela in the frontal fight against drug trafficking », she published.
Since the end of 2021, the FANB increased its security operations throughout the national territory, especially in the border regions with the firm purpose of ending Colombian drug trafficking groups.

On the other hand, the FANB carried out the disablement of an invading plane linked to the group Terroristas Armados Narcotraficantes de Colombia (Tancol), in the Catatumbo municipality, in Zulia state.
With this new operation to disable invading Tancol aircraft, there have been 42 aircraft shot down so far in 2022.
“In the state of Zulia, municipality of Catatumbo, an invading TANCOL plane violating our sovereignty, when attempting to land on a clandestine runway unused by the FANB, tops off and is destroyed, increasing the number of disablements to 42 in 2022,” he posted on Twitter.
FANB seizes 42 kilos of marijuana in Táchira
Continuing with the fight against drug trafficking, in the state of Táchira, the FANB seized a cache of more than 42 kilograms of marijuana when they were trying to introduce it into the country.
«In CSO patrol work of the tachira state they seize a cache of more than 42 kg of marijuana, which 2 citizens were trying to introduce into the country, through the trails and green roads. Venezuela in the fight against drug trafficking!” reported the head of Ceofanb.
Operative in PAC Cojedes
Also, members of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) detained, at the Taguanes Citizen Service Point (PAC), in Cojedes state, four citizens who were transporting a panela of marijuana, reported the head of the FANB’s Strategic Operational Command, Domingo Hernández Lárez.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, Hernández Lárez indicated that the drug was transported in a vehicle which was detained by the authorities.
«In Taguanes Cojedes state, #FANB in PAC detains 4 citizens transporting in a private vehicle a brown sugar of marijuana. Venezuela in the fight against drug trafficking. Those are not customs of our country,” stressed the Chief of Ceofanb.
