Home antigenic test is not valid for work purposes

The Deputy Minister of Collective Health of the Ministry of Public Health, Eladio Pérez, clarified this Wednesday that the antigenic tests for sale in pharmacies “are not valid” for work purposes.

He invited patients who are positive to repeat the analysis in an authorized laboratory or sample collection center.

The antigenic tests are for sale in some pharmacies in the Dominican Republic, following the Government’s willingness to facilitate access to the population and thus reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

The prices of the tests in the various pharmacies range between 300 and 350 pesos.

The deputy minister offered the information a few days before resolution 069 came into force, which requires the population to show their vaccination card with three doses, starting this January 31 to be able to enter public and private spaces.

Pérez reiterated this Wednesday that for the moment there will not be an extension for the entry into force of the aforementioned resolution and that the announced date is maintained.
