The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) announced today what the new minimum amounts will be for consumption with credit or debit cards, deposit caps and monthly movements from which banks must inform their customers.
In accordance with the provisions of the AFIPnow the monthly minimum limit that will require the autonomous entity for consumption with credit and debit cards it will be 30 thousand pesos, while the monthly floor for bank movements will be 90 thousand pesos.
General Resolution 5138/2022 of the AFIPwhich will be published this Thursday (January 27) in the Official Gazette, includes accreditations, withdrawals, account balances and fixed-term deposits within monthly bank movements.
Now, all banking entities in the country, both public and private, they must inform users when monthly operations exceed 30 thousand or 90 thousand pesos per monthclarified the tax authority.
How much was the increase in the minimum monthly limit
Previously, the minimum amounts of operations established by the AFIP for each month they were 10 thousand pesos for consumption with credit or debit cards and 30 thousand pesos for banking operations in general.
“These modifications will allow the country’s banking entities to optimize the information that their users will receive automatically after each operation and streamline financial operations,” the entity said in a statement.
For four years, the tax collection body, dependent on the Ministry of Economy, did not update the Reporting Law for Banking Movements. Its last modification was in January 2018.
