Conventional Hurtado (IND) to Boric for crisis in La Araucanía: "I'm going to be his nightmare"

The elected president, Gabriel Boric, attended the former National Congress on Wednesday to meet with the Andean Parliament. When she was at the entrance of the building, the conventional Ruth Hurtado (IND with quota RN) intercepted him to deliver a letter.

In addition to the letter, the independent representative asked the future president not to lift the state of emergency in La Araucanía.

“Well, I went to deliver a letter to him, mentioning that I’m probably going to be his nightmare, but I’m going to be the voice of the victims of La Araucanía,” said Hurtado.

Regarding the reaction that Boric had with his questioning, he expressed that “he tells me that I am not his nightmare, but that he will be attentive to what I can inform him and that he has made the decision regarding not continuing with the State of Exception, but that Yes, he is going to worry that there is security.”

Given this, the conventional highlighted that the attacks have decreased since the measure was implemented and that it has great approval from the public.

It should be remembered that Gabriel Boric has commented that it is not in his plans to extend the state of emergency in La Araucanía, so it would expire on March 11, the date on which the new government takes office.
