Consorcio Ituango defends itself and says it complied with Hidroituango

The Consortium CCC Ituangomade up of Conconcreto, Coninsa Ramón H and Camargo Correa, reported that although its contract for the construction of hydroituango ended on November 30, it will not be dissolved until all the processes that still need to be completed are completed, including the total release of the work.

(See: What’s next for Hidroituango after entering into operation).

It should be remembered that this consortium was formed 10 years ago for the construction of the hydroelectric plant and on November 30 the contract ended. During construction, it faced the 2018 accident and after that it managed to stabilize the work and deliver the first two generation turbines working.

EPM has already reported that Schrader Camargo will be the company that will finish the works of turbines 3 and 4.

The consortium assured that it complied with all the obligations established in its contract, in addition to having quality materials and doing the work within the stipulated times. Regarding the statements made by the mayor of Medellín, Daniel Quintero, CCC Ituango asked for a retraction in relation to comments about the use of low-quality materials or to present the evidence that supports said affirmation.

In fact, they assure that there has been no evidence of instability in the work highlighted Santiago García, legal representative of the consortium.
