He swears innocence. President Pedro Castillo gave a message to the Nation ratifying its position of innocence after the statements of the ex-head of the diniwhich have put him in a difficult situation shortly after facing a third vacancy motion in Congress.
“I am not corrupt nor would I tarnish the good name of my honest and exemplary parents, who, like millions of Peruvians, work from sunrise to sunset to honestly build a future for their families.”, indicated the president in the first place.
“Throughout the 17 months that I have been in office, a certain sector of Parliament had the only item on its agenda to vacate me from office. Because they never accepted the results of an election that you defined with your vote at the polls. Tomorrow I will face a third vacancy motion, based on the statements of third parties, who, in order to reduce their sentences, for the alleged acts committed, abusing my trust, try to involve me without evidence.”, he added.
Blame your inexperience
Castillo assured honesty, also indicating that he is paying “mistakes due to his inexperience”, after the series of serious accusations for corruption that revolve around him and his family.
“I confirm that I have never stolen a single sun from my country, I am honest, a man from the countryside who is paying for mistakes due to his inexperience, but who has never committed any crime”, he asserted.
Of the third parties that justice is in charge. I will be here in front, showing my face to tell you the only truth that exists, I am not corrupt and I will always ratify it. Because despite what a former official says now to get me involved with a fact denied by an important media outlet, I would never betray a people that calls for the unity of its authorities to get ahead”, maintained the president.
Former head of DINI sinks Castillo
In the decisive hours. The former head of the National Intelligence Directorate (DINI), José Fernández Latorre, revealed that he has a lot of compromising information against President Pedro Castillo. This Tuesday, December 6, Fernández will appear before the Prosecutor’s Office to deliver conversations, documents and audios that prove his allegations.
These revelations would be of great importance for those congressmen who have not yet decided their vote for the presidential vacancy debate against Pedro Castillo.
Pedro Castillo knew what his nephews were doing
José Fernández revealed that part of his job as head of Intelligence was to inform President Pedro Castillo of what people close to him were doing. Thus confirming that the nephews gianmarco Castillo and Fray Vásquez Castillo had the full endorsement of the president to carry out their irregular acts.
“As director of intelligence, I have warned of everything that has been happening with the president, but at some point this became of national interest and the various institutions that oversee the intelligence directorate have also realized it,” Fernández told the press.
“I have told the president: ‘Keep away those rats that take advantage of State resources (in reference to the nephews)’ and he cannot deny me that because he is in the chat rooms,” he added.
What is heard in the audios?
The former head of the DINI made public an audio in which he talks with Beder Camacho, former undersecretary general of Pedro Castilloon the strategy that the government managed to “block the arrest of the nephews and the former Minister of Transportation, Juan Silva”, who would now be outside the country.
“That information that they give you is how they would have extracted the nephews from the action of justice, they wanted to attribute that activity to DINI,” Fernández declared.
There is also talk of future events, of the changes and “awards” that they would give to keep all those involved protected, such as Bruno Pacheco, former presidential secretary. Let’s not forget that on August 11 of this year, lawyer Julio Palomino Duarte (mentioned in the audio) replaced Jorge Ricardo Alva Coronado as the general secretary of the Presidential Office.
