The former President of the Republic, Leonel Fernandezreferred this Tuesday to the possible alliance of the party he presides over, Fuerza del Pueblo, with other political organizations such as the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), on which, until now, ruled out that there is an agreement with that and another entity.
“Our alliance is with the people”, Fernández delimited when he was questioned on the subject.
The president of the green party, which represents one of the main opposition forces in the country, explained that his party has been growing and showing strength, and he hopes that other organizations will look to the Fuerza del Pueblo in the future.
“The People’s Force is the only one on the rise today in the Dominican Republic”assured Fernández during an interview on the Alofoke Radio Show platform.
The remarks of the former president of the nation respond to the possible alliances at the congressional and municipal level that some personalities have raised.
Fernández also said that the ruling party will not win in the first round and predicted a second electoral contest “spontaneously.”
Regarding the candidate for the Presidency for the PLD, Abel Martínez, Fernández was unaware of the “growth” of the candidate from the purple party and also said that the focus of the People’s Force is against the Government.
They will culminate in the Gran Arena del Cibao
The match People’s Force announced the culmination of his political activities in 2022 with a massive swearing-in that will take place on Sunday, December 11, at the Gran Arena del Cibao.
According to a statement released by Professor José Izquierdo, president of the People’s Force in the province of Santiago, the activity, to be held in the largest sports roof in all of Cibao, will begin at 10:00 in the morning. and will be led by the leader of that organization and the Dominican opposition, Leonel Fernández.
Professor Izquierdo assured that it will be evidenced there, and the country will witness how the People’s Force grows every day in Santiago.
