This Tuesday, December 6, personnel from the Data Protection Directorate of the National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI), appeared at the offices of the Institute of National Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN).
According to IDAAN, the ANTAI visit was given to carry out a survey in a preventive manner to measure the degree of implementation of Law 81 of March 26, 2019 on the Protection of Personal Data, activities that are carried out in different public and private entities.
During the visit, ANTAI officials verified through the Legal Advice, Technology and Administration Directorates full knowledge of the processes and responsibilities contemplated in the standard.
This SNTAI inspection is related to a series of complaints for the alleged sale of personal data by State institutions.
The IDAAN assured that it complies with the parameters established within Law 81, maintaining the security measures to safeguard the personal data that rests in our system.
Additionally, IDAAN pointed out that it has not been made aware of any complaint for the alleged sale of data in the entity.
