Santo Domingo.- The Dominican political class bears great sorrow after the death of the former president of the Senate of the Republic, Amable Aristy Castro, who lost his life due to a heart attack this Sunday after being present at the inauguration of a shopping center.
For this reason, the leaders, officials and militants have expressed their condolences to the relatives of Aristy Castro and have dedicated a few words regarding him through the social network Twitter.
“A close and supportive politician, a friend of his friends and with deep love for his people,” described President Luis Abinader while sending his deepest condolences to the wife and children of the nickname “The Chief of Higüey”.

Likewise, Vice President Raquel Peña highlighted the positions she held and wished for strength and comfort for the pain that the Aristy Castro family is going through.
Instead, in addition to expressing his regret and asking for his eternal rest, the mayor of the municipality of Higüey, Rafael Barón Duluc, asked the council of councilors to declare a week of municipal mourning for the death of the former senator.
However, with a photo next to who was a candidate for the presidency in 2008, the senator of La Vega, Ramón Rogelio Genao, described him as a “great friend, brother, compatriot and good man.”

While the president of the Senate, Eduardo Estrella, the former first lady Margarita Cedeño, the mayoress of Santo Domingo, Carolina Mejía and the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Mypimes (MICM), Ito Bisonó, agreed to highlight Aristy Castro as a “friend of the friends” and assured that he will be remembered for his delivery by the people of Higüey and his municipality.
