Uruguay registered this Wednesday 11,690 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 23,657 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae). The positivity rate was 49.4%, although duplicate tests are also included in some people (antigen and PCR).
What’s more, there were 29 deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, who were between 64 and 99 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, there have been 6,368 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.
There are 76,010 active cases across the country and 122 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total positive cases, 908 correspond to the health personnel.
Of the 11,690 new cases, 4,695 were from Montevideo, 1,415 from Canelones, 1,288 from Colonia, 584 from Maldonado, 480 from Soriano, 407 from Rivera, 386 from Paysandú, 336 from Tacuarembo, 304 from San José, 280 from Rocha, 251 from Cerro Largo, 249 from Salto, 209 from Río Negro, 188 from Artigas, 182 from Durazno, 119 from Lavalleja, 116 from Florida, 110 from Flores and 91 from Treinta y Tres.
All departments report infected people this Wednesday, and Montevideo leads in number of assets with 35,670. follow him cannelloni (9,586), Maldonado (5.117) and Rivera (2,749), among others.
For the report of the day, the Ministry of Public Health reported that removed 22 cases from the active list.
