The Federal Oral Court 2 reached the sentence of case 2833, Cause Road, where it is presumed that the vice president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner diverted funds from the province of Santa Cruz to the Austral Construcciones company owned by Lázaro Báez. The former president was accused of being the head of an illegal association and at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, the sentence was handed down.
The verdict of the Road Cause is “not to make room for the arguments of nullity of the defenses in the final discussion.” Lázaro Báez was sentenced to six years in prison as a necessary participant in the crime of fraudulent administration to the detriment of the public administration.
They sentenced Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner to six years in prison, with perpetual disqualification from holding public office. Also José López for six years in prison.
