Fausto Von Streber, director of Information and Communication Technologies (TICS) of the Superior Court of Electoral Justice (TSJE), affirmed that they are preparing the credentials and conducting the judicial audits as part of the preparations for the presidential elections next Sunday, August 18. december.
He maintained that even though the time issue has not been extended, it would not have a great impact.
“It will not affect the extension of the hours, in the same way there will be lines at the polling places,” he commented.
Voting starts at 7:00 a.m. and will last until 5:00 p.m.
The electronic voting system does not have the register inside. Only the table members are the ones who know if the person has already voted or not.
“We have more than 9 million eligible voters. But this represents only 4.8 million people, this because several voters are present in various registers”, she concluded.
