The bill was endorsed on November 3 by the Senate and once it is discussed and voted on by the deputies, if it is modified, it must be returned to the senators for the changes to be ratified.
In case they are endorsed in their terms, the Senate must send the document to the Executive for its promulgation.
The circulated forecast indicates that workers will be able to enjoy “at least six days of vacation continuously, of the total period that corresponds to them in accordance with the provisions of article 76 of the Federal Labor Law.”
“In any case, workers will have the power and the right to agree with the employer on the manner and times in which they will enjoy the vacation days that they have in their favor, either continuously or partially,” he adds.
According to legislator Baldenebro Arredondo, vacations of at least 12 days cannot be reversed, but micro and small companies, as well as family businesses, can have adverse impacts if workers take their vacation period continuously.
For this reason, flexibility is sought so that the breaks are effective, half continuously and the other half on another date or even in installments, as agreed by the worker and the employer.
