The Peruvian Agency for Consumers and Users (Opecu) alerted this Monday, December 5, that the international reference fuel prices fell by up to 7.63% per gallon, while LPG between 3.85% and 4.62% per kilo. In addition, gasoholes and gasoline reduced by up to 7.63% per gallon, diesel between 4.07% and 6.90% per gallon.
In addition to this, residuals fell by up to 2.21% per gallon, while import and export LPG fell by up to 4.62% per kilo, continuing with the trend of strong weekly declines.
The international fuel reference price variations are valid this week, from today until Sunday, December 11, in the Peruvian market.

“The international reference prices of gasoholes and gasoline fell by up to S/ 0.81 or 7.63% per gallon, diesel up to S/ 0.75 or 6.90% and residuals up to S/ 0.16 or 2.21%, while LPG imports and exports decreased S/ 0.09 or 4.62% per kilo. December opened following the trend of strong weekly falls in reference fuel prices whose reflection in the domestic market benefits consumers”, affirmed the president of Opecu, Héctor Plate Cánepa.
“We urge oil companies, importers, service stations, gas centers, taps, and other stores selling fuel to the public at the national level to fully and timely reflect the significant price drops that benefit the economy of consumers, and the country, as also strengthening their confidence in the energy sector”Plate added.

- Gashol 84. It contracted from S/ 8.42 to S/ 8.34, decreasing by S/ 0.08 or 0.95% per gallon, or S/ 0.10 including tax.
- Gashol 90. It drops from S/ 9.61 to S/ 9.12 and reduces S/ 0.49 or 5.10% per gallon, which should reflect a full price drop of S/ 0.62 per gallon, including tax, in the Peruvian market.
- Gashol 95. It falls from S/ 10.22 to S/ 9.53, falling back S/ 0.69 or 6.75% per gallon, thus taps and service stations must reduce S/ 0.88 per gallon, including tax, nationwide
- Gasoholes 97 and 98. They discount from S/ 10.62 to S/ 9.81 per gallon, reducing S/ 0.81 or 7.63% per gallon, equivalent to a lower price of S/ 1.03 per gallon, including tax, in the country.
- Gasoline 84. It decreases from S/ 8.05 to S/ 8.00 and drops to S/ 0.05 or 0.62% per gallon, or S/ 0.06 per gallon, including tax, in the domestic market.
- Gasoline 90. It fell from S/ 9.34 to S/ 8.85, contracting S/ 0.49 or 5.25% per gallon, which will be reflected in a drop of S/ 0.62 per gallon, including tax, in the Peruvian market.
- Diesel B5 (0 to 2500 ppm). It reduces from S/ 13.28 to S/ 12.74, lowering S/ 0.54 or 4.07% per gallon, and impacts on a price decrease of S/ 0.64 per gallon, including tax, nationwide.
- Diesel B5 (2500-5000 ppm). Reduction from S/ 10.87 to S/ 10.12, falling back S/ 0.75 or 6.90% per gallon, falling by S/ 0.89 per gallon, including tax, in the domestic market.
- Industrial Oil 6. It contracted from S/ 7.24 to S/ 7.08, losing S/ 0.16 or 2.21% per gallon, thus reducing S/ 0.19 per gallon, including tax, nationwide.
- Industrial Petroleum 500. It falls from S/ 7.05 to S/ 6.93 and reduces S/ 0.12 or 1.70% per gallon, which is equivalent to a discount of S/ 0.14 per gallon, including tax, in the Peruvian market.
- Import LPG. It drops from S/ 2.34 to S/ 2.25 per kilogram, and decreases by S/ 0.09 or 3.85%, which is equivalent to S/ 0.106 per kilo, including tax, in the domestic market.
- Export LPG. It reduces from S/ 1.95 to S/ 1.86 per kilogram, thus contracting by S/ 0.09 or 4.62%, equivalent to S/ 0.106 per kilo, including tax, in the national market.
