On the third consecutive day there are no deaths from crime according to the National Police

En tercer día consecutivo no se registran muertes por delincuencia según la Policía Nacional

Santo Domingo.- The National Police reported this afternoon that no deaths of citizens who were victims of crime were registered in the country yesterday.

The law enforcement institution indicated that it is the third day that no deaths have been recorded from these causes, which coincides with the actions implemented by the PN to prevent criminal acts.

“In the last 72 hours, the Police have carried out great prevention work throughout the national geography, managing to arrest 221 people for different crimes. As part of the proceedings, the authorities seized 17 firearms, an air pistol and a toy gun, 31 motorcycles, 13 vehicles and two trucks from the detainees,” he said.

In addition, the institution added that it is immersed in a deep transformation process on the instructions of President Luis Abinader and that it has optimized human resources and added new technologies to combat crime.

“With these measures, which seek to control criminal acts with a better police service, we contribute to citizen security, the tranquility of citizens and peaceful coexistence,” said the National Police.
