Prices showed a minimal retraction in November and the iInflation once again moved away from the 10% threshold whom he had approached in September.
The Statistics National Institute (INE) reported this Monday that the Consumer price index (CPI) for November had a decrease of 0.28%. With this percentage, inflation was 8.57% so far this year and 8.46% in the last 12 months.
Annualized inflation remains more than two points above the target range (3% to 6%) that has been in force since last September.
The highest monthly decrease was verified in the heading transportation with a negative variation of 1.13%, followed by food and non-alcoholic beverages with 0.71%.
In the first case, the decrease in car prices stood out (3.34%), mainly explained by the drop in the exchange rate and in plane tickets.
In the second, he highlighted price reductions in meat and derived products with 1.17%. The greatest decreases were observed in sheep meat (8.7%), needle (8.39%) and shoulder (7.2%).
In fruits, the greatest falls occurred in peaches with 19.6% and strawberries with 16.4%.
In vegetables, the highest retractions were in tomatoes with 44.2%, pumpkin with 20.2% and bell peppers with 19%.
