This Monday the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) issued its weekly report regarding the monitoring of the development of the coronavirus disease in the country. According to the data corresponding to the week of November 27 to December 3, the cases increased with respect to the previous week.
In the indicated week, 1,527 new cases were registered against the 988 cases that were registered in the previous period. Likewise, with 13,195 tests carried out in the last seven days, positivity (percentage of tests that came back positive) rose to 11.6% compared to 8% the previous week.
However, the number of deaths from coronavirus in the last week was four people, while in the previous week it was seven.
Until the closing of the report, the number of active cases (people who have the disease) closed at 1,490. This means 464 more cases compared to last week. On the other hand, there are 12 people in CTI, which translates into 1.5% of hospital beds. ITC occupied by people with covid.
Since the first case of coronavirus was registered in the country, there have been 995,402 positive cases and 7,541 deaths.
