The police institution is in mourning for the death of two of its uniformed officers.

A double homicide of policemen was recorded this afternoon in the Los Olivos neighborhood, a border area between Soacha and the Bosa Town in Bogotá, events that occurred in the midst of a persecution against alleged criminals.
In the development of the operation, the uniformed men José Alirio Sánchez Ojeda (superintendent) and Gustavo David Bohórquez Canchila (patrolman), were shot in the head respectively by the antisocials who are wanted by the authorities at this time.
Badly injured, the two agents were transferred to the Bosa Hospital, where they were treated by doctors on duty, but due to the seriousness of the injuries, they died minutes after their admission.

To find the whereabouts of those responsible for the crime of the two police officers, the competent authorities have offered a reward of up to 200 million pesos.
At the moment, the Police and the CTI of the Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the events that triggered the persecution between police and motorcycles. It is speculated that the patrolmen would have reached a warehouse in the Los Olivos neighborhood where their perpetrators would have entered before, recording a shooting at the scene.
The Police have asked the community for understanding while they look for clues to clarify this double homicide.
Meanwhile, the President of the Republic, Gustavo Petro Urrego and the Mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, spoke out about this fact that puts the police institution in mourning.
The first affirms that the murder of the two policemen “will not go unpunished”, while the Bogota president reiterated the reward to find those responsible for the double crime.
