The former vice president and former Minister of Economy Amado Boudou affirmed that “the only thing the judicial apparatus does is validate what the media apparatus does”, two days after the verdict against Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in the Highway case is known.
In dialogue with FM Futurock, Boudou said that next Tuesday will see the “end of a judicial process that, in reality, is a parody of a judicial process”, adding that he calls it that “because it has gone according to the schedule elections, but above all it is probably the confirmation of a media sentence”.
Boudou opined in this sense that “what is important seems to be the media, and the only thing the judicial apparatus does is validate what the media apparatus does.”
Then was consulted about eventual marches in support of Cristina Kirchner this week, to which he replied: “I would like to participate in calls that are very broad, because this issue affects not only the forces that make up the Front for Victory, but also all of society and the life of Argentina”.
The economist stressed that he is “waiting to see what happens, but it is a collective decision.”
“It is never the moment, and especially not this one, to put the issue of leadership above trying to have a collective analysis of how to deal with this very difficult situation,” he added.
In the same sense, he spoke of the conviction in all the actors of the Frente de Todos (FdT) of the existence of the “lawfare” that he denounced long ago: “I feel that the interpretation of a phenomenon whose final objective is to have the rigged, conditioned democracy”.
Finally, he told what his experience of the two years he spent in prison for a sentence from the Justice meant to him: “I lived it as a moment of looking a lot inward and using it to review what is happening in our country and in the world.”
