Covid-19 Balance: Minsal reports 3,858 new cases and 33 deaths in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health (Minsal) communicated this Saturday a new report on the situation of Covid-19 in our country. In this regard, they indicated that during the last 24 hours, 3,858 new cases have been registered, of which 2,038 correspond to symptomatic people and 507 do not present symptoms. In addition, 1,313 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.

Regarding diagnostic capacity, the results of 26,346 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported, reaching a total of 47,144,437 analyzed nationwide to date. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 12.95% and in the Metropolitan region it is 12.74%.

Other figures

The total number of people who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the country is 4,933,525. Of this total, 12,820 patients are in their active stage and the recovered cases reach 4,843,650.

The DEIS reported that in the last 24 hours there were 33 deaths from causes associated with Covid-19. The total number of deaths in our country reaches 62,543.

As for the Intensive Care Units, to date, there are 138 people hospitalized, of which 89 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Regarding the Integrated Health Network, there is a total of 260 critical beds available.
