“And here I am, firm,” said the PRI leader, reiterating that “I’m not going anywhere,” after Morena’s threat to carry out an impeachment process against him, a fact that he considered, seeks to pressure him so that approve the electoral reform.
In a video broadcast through his social networks, the national leader of the tricolor once again confirmed that “the PRI’s position is clear and forceful: we will vote against the electoral reform“.
Moreno Cárdenas also specified that the PRI, its deputies and deputies, are firm. “We will defend Mexico’s democracy at any cost,” he said.
The national leader of the tricolor added that they will defend the electoral institutions and “we are going to prevent them from continuing to destroy Mexico,” he promised.
He explained that today he is again the target of an attack, attacks, lies and threats from the government, but he asserted: “I resist with the force that gives me reason and my constitutional rights.”
“I resist with the impetus that the best militancy in Mexico, that of the PRI, gives me; I resist with the spirit that millions of Mexican men and women inspire me who are not willing to allow more abuses from power,” he asserted.
The national leader of the PRI pointed out that Mexico is facing a crucial moment of historical definitions, definitions that will mark the present and the future of the nation.
He argued that the government has been determined to destroy the democratic regime, to alter the balance of powers and to weaken any institution that represents a counterweight to its ambition to amass and centralize power.
He said that either by means of the Budget, discredit and, specifically, by judicializing the policy, the government has wanted to intimidate the opposition, which has remained firm to stop its authoritarian advances.
