This Friday, the Araucanía Regional Prosecutor’s Office released the details of the accusation filed against the leader of the Arauco Malleco Coordinator (CAM), Héctor Llaitul, who was arrested in August of this year by the PDI.
The Minister of the General Secretariat of Government (Segegob), Camila Vallejo was consulted by the resolution of the prosecuting entity.
“We all hope that the institutions work, that they are efficient and effective in fulfilling their constitutional mandates,” said the Secretary of State in this regard, within the framework of the government’s Public Account for Citizen Participation.
“Here there is a division of State powers and we obviously respect the process of the institution that corresponds to justice and the establishment of sentences. This is in court and, therefore, obviously the responsibility of the case is there. As long as the institutions advance in a timely manner, it is always good for a democracy, ”the government spokeswoman closed her statement.

The opposition
On the other hand, from the opposition they described as “few” the 25 years in prison that the Prosecutor’s Office requested for the leader of the CAM,
“It seems to me that the 25 years requested by the Prosecutor’s Office are few, due to the damage that he has generated to many families, people who have lost their jobs, their homes, their lives,” said the deputy of Amarillos for Chile, Andrés Jouannet
“I think the Prosecutor’s Office is correct, it has done so since this process began. I hope that justice will act accordingly,” added Jouannet.
