The incident occurred after an intermunicipal transport bus collided with a van in the vicinity of the variant that connects Girardot with Melgar.

After learning of the traffic accident registered in the vicinity of the variant that connects Girardot with Melgar, authorities have already provided the names of the 20 victims.

According to reports, the injured people presented polytraumatisms, and were transferred to care centers in Girardot.

They indicated that among the victims are the driver Hernando MP who was driving the bus, together with:

Kevin Arley Renteria Machado, Ariel Acevedo Tovar, Robinson Castañeda Orozco, Elmer de Jesús Santiz Palencia, Javit Muñoz Solano, Maicol Andrey F.

Pablo Rafael G, Johan Arley Muñoz Ramírez, Jhonnatan Vargas Piedrahita, David Ayola Olivera, Libardo Soto Roa also appear on the list.

Likewise, they identified Stive Mosquera Sánchez, Arnold Stiven Vivi Carrillo, who was driving the van, and Ruben Enrique Vargas Morales, who was his companion.

According to some versions, the events occurred around 6:50 in the morning, more precisely at kilometer 8, near the El Paso bypass.

They indicated that an intermunicipal transport bus was apparently traveling through the area, transporting some employees of the Concession track 40.

From one moment to the next, it collided with a Turbo.

At the moment the causes of the accident have not been clarified, however, it is presumed that the bus would have collided head-on with the van on a curve on that road.
