More than a ton of drugs was seized by the National Police in two containers in a Pacific port.
During an operation carried out this Friday in conjunction with the Public Ministry, some one thousand four hundred and fifty-six packages with alleged drugs from Mexico were located.
The units of the National Anti-drug Directorate, in the midst of the inspections, located 10 green briefcases in the first container, which, when verified, found 445 packages of presumed illicit substances.
While in a second container, the uniformed officers observe 24 suitcases of different colors that inside kept the sum of 1,011 rectangular packages of presumed drugs lined with transparent plastic and different logos.
The authorities revealed that the containers transported used cars and inside these were the 34 briefcases with the drug whose final destination was the port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
