Rosales forecasts productive growth in Zulia after reactivation of Chevron

Rosales hopes that the commercial exchange with Colombia will reactivate Zulia

Manuel Rosales has been in office for one year in Zulia and the regional president focused his speech on promises for the future, especially on the oil potential that is awakening again in Zulia now that Chevron will once again operate the Petroboscán oil field

The governor of Zulia, Manuel Rosales, envisioned a “great oil recovery” that will benefit Zulia’s economy thanks to the return of the US company Chevron, which received a license that allows it to operate again in Petroboscán, a joint venture with fields in Zulia operated by Chevron and the state-owned Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA).

During a speech addressed to his supporters at a act carried out on Thursday, December 1 to commemorate his first year as governorRosales assured that the return of the US oil company would have a “great impact” in Cabimas and on the Eastern Coast of the Lake.

«I returned from Caracas, where I was making efforts for our state. We have had good news. The first decision was made on what will be the great oil activation. Chevron is going to return to the Zulian lands to work », he exclaimed.

He also highlighted as positive news the development of the dialogue between Chavismo and the opposition in Mexico, by assuring the people of Zulia that humanitarian issues and alleviation of the electrical problems that have plagued the population of Zulia were prioritized among the first agreements reached.

«The negotiation was installed again in Mexico. There, the first thing that was discussed and approved was a social program to deal with emergencies related to electricity, a disaster that we have experienced for many years and that requires a large investment, “he said.

Rosales explained that a better electrical system would make it possible to serve other sectors, such as health, education and the provision of other public services, which would benefit the population on multiple fronts.

Rosales also announced that areas of the Dr. Adolfo D’Empaire de Cabimas Hospital will be reopened, as a result of a first stage of repair, remodeling and recovery of vital areas.

“That work that past governments destroyed, which was an example where people were cared for, which was better than in a private clinic. We are going to have it again, possibly before San Benito,” said the governor, referring to the fact that these works would be completed before December 27.

Likewise, he informed that important infrastructure works will begin in January in different sectors of Cabimas, such as 32 avenue, 34 avenue, highway H, among others.

“I was telling Nabil that in the first days of January we are going to start new works, all for the well-being of the Cabimans,” Rosales said.
