“The internal policy of HSBC Mexico establishes that its Board of Directors must be periodically renewed in order to obtain new visions that contribute to the strengthening of its activities in the country,” the bank said in a statement.

Who are the new members?

Jose Maria Zas he was president and CEO of American Express Mexico, Argentina and Latin America; He is currently the CEO of the fintech Mendel, which offers solutions to companies.

Pedro Jose Moreno Cantalejo He was Vice President of Administration and Finance of Santander. Later, he founded Hill House Capital, a diversified firm in Private Equity Funds, Investment Banking consulting and Real Estate Development projects.

Alberto Ardura Gonzalez He was director of operations at Merrill Lynch in Mexico and director of Capital Markets in Latin America at Deutsche Bank. Since 2021 he is the CEO of Bite Acquisition Corp.

Andres Eugenio Sucre Pulido He was the founder and CEO of Reservamos, an online site for buying and selling land and air transportation tickets for passengers in Mexico.
