Subcommittee on Accusations admitted to process constitutional complaints against Pedro Castillo

The Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations admitted for processing the constitutional complaints made against the president but only in the extremes referred to the violation of the Magna Carta.

It is about the accumulation of complaints 318, 320, 322, 324, 325 of congressmen Patricia Chirinos, Adriana Tudela and Juan Burgos. The decision was taken by 14 votes in favor, 5 against and 0 abstentions.

All the aforementioned complaints maintain that the interpretation made on the question of trust does not conform to the Constitution.

In statements to the press, the head of the working group, Lady Camones, explained that it is the accumulation of various complaints filed and that in all cases criminal charges were ruled out.

“These complaints were formulated and today they have been exposed jointly. They have been debated and voted on and they have been admitted in part, this was for infractions and crimes, on the crimes it has been declared inadmissible, we do not consider that there is a violation of the penal code but rather of the Constitution”, Camones affirmed to the media from the Congress.

In this same session, Milagros Jáuregui was appointed as the delegate of the constitutional complaint against Pedro Castillo formulated by the National Prosecutor, Patricia Benavides, for allegedly leading a criminal organization.
