The Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet) issued a yellow alert on the afternoon of this Thursday. Different locations in the country are affected.
The institute explains that the situation is a “Atmospheric disturbance associated with a humid and unstable air mass affects the country, generating storms, some occasionally strong”.
Inumet also warns that “in stormy areas, intense rains in short periods, occasional hail, intense electrical activity and strong gusts of wind”.
Inumet will continue to monitor the situation. The situation “it will be updated at 20:30 or before significant changes”says the tweet.

long hill: Arévalo, Cerro de las Cuentas, Esperanza, Fraile Muerto, Quebracho, Toledo, Tres Islas and Tupambaé.
Peach: Aguas Buenas, Blanquillo, La Paloma, Las Palmas, Rossell and Rius, San Jorge and Sarandí del Yí.
Florida: Sauce Chapel, Cerro Chato and Nico Pérez.
Lavalleja: June 19, Aramendía, Colón, Illescas, José Batlle y Ordoñez, José Pedro Varela, Pirarajá, Polanco Norte, Polanco Sur and Zapicán
Rock: The Crown and Lascano
tacuarembó: Achar, Caraguata, Cerro Chato, Clara and San Gregorio de Polanco.
