President Luis Abinader, accompanied by the first lady Raquel Arbajeinaugurated this Thursday “Christmas Village”, an entertainment area alluding to this time for the enjoyment of the Dominican family, which will work in the gardens of the Palacio de los Deportes and in the Monument of Santiago.
This recreational area is inspired by the great parks of Christmas lights and will have a great display of national talents who will perform daily artistic presentations in theatrical, musical and magic genres.
In the colorful event held in the gardens of the Palacio de los Deportes, the president stressed that these days are times for that the family be unified and enjoy prudentlyremembering all the good that we have around us and the positive that God gives us every day.
The head of state, improvising a few words, also added that these days must be the most beautiful to be able to show more love and affection and to tell people “I love you”.
“That is why today with Villa Navidad we want all these days to be magical for our boys, our girls and for our family, grandparents, uncles and our best friends.”
When speaking on the spot, the mayoress of the DN, Carolina Mejíastated that “Villa Navidad” is a beautiful opportunity that Dominican families should enjoy and assured that everyone who steps on this place will live moments of happiness.

This space will be available from December 1 to January 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
Considering this the most magical experience of Christmas, two special places will be created in this particular Caribbean North Pole: “The castle square” and “Santa’s snow tunnel”. They will also be able to enjoy plays, interactive games, Christmas characters, among other shows.
The lighting of the park was in charge of the president accompanied by the first lady, Raquel Arbaje; the Minister of the Presidency, Joel Santos, and the Administrative Officer of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza; the administrator of the Reserve Bank, Samuel Pereyra; the mayoress, Carolina Mejía and a group of children.
After the lights were turned on, the musical “Buscando a Santa” was presented.
