With mortgage transactions for $149 million, CAPAC Expo Hábitat 2022 exceeded the expectations of the exhibitors, its organizers reported, which means a key contribution to the reactivation of the economy in the post-pandemic period.
According to Demetrio Arosemena, president of the Fair Organizing Committee of the Panamanian Chamber of Construction (CAPAC), during the four days of the event held last September, more than 1,700 housing units were sold.
85% of the amounts sold corresponded to homes that fall within the preferential interest rate range whose value is between $40,000 and $180,000. The other 15% were among those with higher values. The projects of houses and apartments with the greatest commercialization are located in Central Panama, West Panama and East Panama.
According to the Commission in charge of the activity, it was recorded that the thirty-fifth version of CAPAC Expo Habitat achieved the visit of more than 12,000 people.
Within the framework of CAPAC Expo Hábitat 2022, the first version of CAPAC Decor was made. “This initiative was a complete success and an integral complement to the fair, which made it possible to present the latest design trends and lifestyles to the market and make it available to all visitors,” explained Arosemena.
The Commission thanked the exhibitors, public and private banks, companies that offer construction services, as well as promoters and companies that sell machinery and equipment, who gave relevance to the event.
For his part, Carlos Allen, president of CAPAC, assured that the union will continue to join efforts to promote investor confidence and economic recovery through the implementation of actions that make it possible to reach the levels recorded before the covid-19 pandemic. 19.
The CAPAC Fairs Commission reported, on the other hand, that CAPAC Housing Expo will be held between April 20 and 23, 2023 and CAPAC Habitat Expo from September 28 to October 1 of next year. Both fairs will take place at the Panama Convention Center.
