The president of the Republic, Pedro Castillothis Thursday the first session of the Council of Ministers after the appointment of Betssy Chávez as head of the cabinet to replace Aníbal Torres.
This meeting between the head of state and all the members of the cabinet began at 9:00 am and is held at the Government Palace facilities. Regarding this, last Wednesday, Chávez Chino announced that there will be a press conference and once again ruled out the presentation of a second question of confidence.
“We rule out the second issue of trust, but I do believe that It is important that we hold a press conference, which we will be inviting tomorrow after the Council of Ministers”, he expressed.
“I think it is precisely important that we open this space so that we can listen to each other, because if we all ask ourselves here, it will be very complex”, added the head of the PCM.
As you remember, Betsy Chavez was appointed as Prime Minister last Friday, November 25, after the resignation of Aníbal Torres from the same position. This occurred as a result of the fact that from the Executive branch she interpreted that there was an “express refusal” of the last question of confidence that they presented before the Legislative Power, which was rejected outright.
