Within the framework of the agreement that the oil companies signed with the Government after joining the fair price program, starting today, December 1, the price of naphtha and diesel throughout the country.
The increase in the fuels It will be 4%, which is the maximum limit established by the Government within the negotiation. This will be the first of four increases that will have the naphtha and diesel between December and March of next year.
Although YPF announced that it will not increase its prices, the companies Shell and Axion did set new prices for the naphtha and diesel from 00:00 today. This is the sixth increase that fuels have during all of 2022.
With the 4% rise, prices at Shell service stations in the City of Buenos Aires were as follows:
- Super gasoline: it will go from $150.60 to $156.62.
- Premium gasoline: it will increase from $182.9 to $190.21.
- Common diesel: will rise in price from $168.4 to $175.13
- Premium diesel: it will go from costing $218.6 to $227.34.
In the Axion service stations, the prices were in the City as follows:
- Super gasoline: it will go from $149.5 to $155.48.
- Premium gasoline: it will increase from $182.9 to $190.21.
- Common diesel: will rise in price from $169.9 to $176.69.
- Premium diesel: it will go from costing $215.6 to $224.22.
So far this year, the naphtha Common increased by 60%, premium by 70% and, in the case of diesel, the increases exceed 100%, which has an impact on inflation and workers’ income.
The agreement was signed this Monday between the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, and representatives of the main oil companies in the country (YPF, Shell, Trafigura, Axion).
What was agreed with the oil companies
The Government agreed with the oil companies to limit increases in the fuels for 120 days, that is, between December and March. In this sense, The increases may be a maximum of 4% in December, January and February, and 3.5% in March.
In exchange, the government guaranteed the oil companies access to dollars to obtain inputs, such as lubricants, and defer the fuel tax.
