Santiago. The remains of the father of former senator Julio César Valentín were buried this Wednesday afternoon in the Fuente de Luz Memorial Park private cemetery.
Porfirio Zacarías Valentín Then passed away on Tuesday morning after suffering health problems for a while. His remains were veiled at the Blandino funeral home and after a mass with his body present, they proceeded to transfer him to the cemetery, located on Circunvalación Norte avenue.
The wake was attended by leaders of the Modern Revolutionary Party, including the governor, Rosa Santos; as well as Andrés Cueto, general director of Edenorte and Andrés Burgos, of the Santiago Aqueduct and Sewerage Corporation (Coraasan). Porfirio Zacarías Valentín Then, was 85 years old at the time of his death and lived in the Reparto Peralta community in the Bella Vista sector.
