Cortizo delivers a report on the Bicentennial Pact, they execute 92 projects within the 40 agreements

The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, delivered a report on the progress made by the National Government to comply with the 40 agreements of the “Closing Gaps” Bicentennial Pact that the current administration promised to execute.

In an act that took place in the Presidential Palace, the ruler Cortizo Cohen delivered the progress report to the High Level Commission of the Bicentennial Pact “Closing Gaps”, chaired by Paulina Franceschi.

One year after the final report of the “Closing Gaps” Bicentennial Pact was presented and delivered, the commissioners received information on the actions carried out by the National Government to carry out the 92 projects included in the 40 commitments that were assumed by this administration.

“The mission is to ensure that this enormous effort of the Bicentennial Pact can last over time,” said President Cortizo Cohen.

Of the total of 187 national agreements reached in 11 months of consultations with various sectors of Panamanian society, the National Government reported that it assumed 40 commitments of the Bicentennial Pact related to agri-food issues (2); water (2); culture (3); sport (1); economy (8); education (8); State(3); Fair state (1); inclusion(2); infrastructure (6) and health (7).

The Bicentennial Pact “Closing the Gaps” is an initiative of President Cortizo Cohen, with the purpose of reaching national agreements to lay the foundations for a better Panama, with the participation of all the productive sectors of the country.

The agreements were classified into 11 areas: agriculture, food security, education, health; water, electrification, job creation, infrastructure, environmental protection, culture and sports.
