Venezuela and the Commonwealth of Dominica maintain close relations of friendship and collaboration. In addition, both nations are part of different regional integration mechanisms, including ALBA-TCP, PetroCaribe, Caribbean State Association, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, Celac.
Precisely both leaders have been working on integration and current geopolitics.
Prime Minister Skerrit, has been at the forefront of Caribbean leadership and as such has contributed to the formulation of the 8-point vestabilization program of the organization of eastern Caribbean states, as leader of the first English-speaking Caricom country to join to the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America in 2008.
A fervent advocate of broader regional integration, Skerrit has been recognized for fostering closer ties between CARICOM member states and Latin American countries.
In the context of cooperation and solidarity between both nations, Venezuela donated more than 20,000 doses of the covid-19 vaccine, for vaccination days in the Commonwealth of Dominica.
