The Organizing Committee of the Havana Film Festival, in its 43rd edition, selected fifteen fiction feature films that aspire to the Coral award along with 15 medium-length and short films, 17 documentary stories, 10 documentary shorts, 29 animated works and 15 operas cousins.
Among the fiction feature films are announced The Kings of the world, by Laura Mora (produced by Colombia, Luxembourg, France, Mexico and Norway); the novice gardener, by Arturo Sotto (Cuba); Regra 34, Júlia Murat (Brazil, France); Alternate, Diego Lerman (Argentina, Italy, Mexico, Spain and France); Y What do people do when it rains?by Eugenia Annamaria (Argentina).
also excel under a mighty sunby Kiki Álvarez (Cuba, Colombia) and Nelsito’s worldby Fernando Pérez (Cuba, Spain).

Of the animated shorts are The Sistine, Juan Camilo Fonnegra (Colombia); Bugs Gerson Moscoso (Peru); tarsilinhaby Celia Catunda and Kiko Mistrorigo (Brazil); Yoke, Carlos Gómez Salamanca (Colombia, France); Y pigs, by Keiter Castillo (Cuba).
Among the documentaries are Secret friend, by María Augusta Ramos (Brazil, Holland and Germany) and Anhell69, by Theo Montoya (Colombia, Romania, France and Germany).
Films will also be screened Alternateby Diego Lerman; the big moveby Kiro Russo; Mato Seco in chamasby Adriley Queirós and Joana Pimenta; rule 34by Julia Murat; Three sad tigersby Gustavo Vinegar; So Much Tendernessby Lina Rodriguez; white girlby Fernando Guzzoni; The Kings of the world, by Laura Mola; Y Sunday and the fogby Ariel Escalante.
According to cubacine, the event will feature films from Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, Spain, France, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Chile and Cuba. The theaters where the works will be screened are Yara, 23 and 12, Chaplin and Acapulco.

This year the contest will have as a novelty the delivery of the Diversity Award, Arrecife, for the best Latin American work on queer. Their The selection will be in charge of an independent jury selected by the Festival, and will not only be aimed at films in official selection or in competition, but also at those that compete in other sections.
