The Chamber of Deputies accepted this Wednesday the veto of the Executive of the law that allows the deductibility of VAT at 100%.
The deputies accepted by majority Decree No. 8301/2022 “By which the bill is totally objected to, which modif. Articles 88 and 89 of Law No. 6380/2019 on the modernization and simplification of the National Tax System (VAT Credit)”
The document is now sent to the Chamber of Senators.

The law rejected by the Executive, cIt contemplates that the taxpayers of the VAT Credit of Personal and Professional Services, can introduce, in their respective liquidations, invoices referring to items of food, personal hygiene, home maintenance, medicines of the taxpayer for his use and that of his family, among others.
It should be noted that while this is defined, governs the decree that establishes a deduction of 30%, for food from the basic basket and other goods, for independent workers.

This measure incorporates the deduction of up to 50% of VAT for office lease payments when these serve as housing for the independent worker, basic services such as water, electricity, telephone, as well as the amount paid for advertising and marketing.
