Lacalle: “I never spoke to the prosecutor”

Lacalle: "I never spoke to the prosecutor"

The president admitted that there was concern about the possible dissemination of his conversations with Astesiano: “it was not my request, I came into contact with this situation when I was going to the Suárez Residence and the police are there. After the arrest, I call the Court Prosecutor and express my concern about the conversations that involve the person who is speaking and my family, ”he commented.

However, Lacalle clarified: “I did not speak before, nor now, with the prosecutor. I know that the Minister of the Interior conveyed his concern about the confidentiality of private, family, personal cell phone conversations. And he accepted himself in such a way, ”he added.

The President also said: “we could have said we were keeping the phone, but they took it away. We never obstruct anything.”

Beyond this, the President of the Republic pointed out that “if those chats are required tomorrow, I imagine that a judge can request them.”
