Ramón Antonio Argeñal Mendoza is accused of the death of Police Lieutenant Aracelly Marisol Diaz Salinas and citizen Pedro Pablo Chavarría Rivas, an administrator of the Agroindustrial del Río company, which occurred on October 1, 2022, in which half of the million córdobas corresponding to the payment of the payroll of the company’s workers, according to the complaint.
Argeñal is known in the city of El Castillo as “Monchito”. His relatives and close friends are alarmed by the serious accusation. They say that he dedicated himself to serving the church and working on the border with Costa Rica to support his family.
On the day of the assault on the Agroindustrial del Río company, “Monchito” arrived at his house in El Castillo at three in the afternoon. He is assistant pastor of the Iglesia Hermanos en Cristo. 20 years serving the Gospel. That day a service was scheduled to benefit a girl suffering from cancer. Since “Monchito” arrived, he got ready and went to move chairs and prepare the venue for the event.

Arrested without any explanation
On November 6, the accused arrived in the city of El Castillo to exercise his right to vote. When he pulled up the boat in which he was traveling, he was detained by the Police. Solidarity threats
The same day that the accusation is made public, the social network Facebook ‘turns on’ with messages of solidarity for the family, messages where it is said that there is an error in the accusations.

He has never gotten into trouble, dedicated to the things of God, I firmly believe that there is an error with his name, I ask you to investigate because it would be unfair to punish him when he is innocent, ”said a citizen.
Close to the family, they say that the people who have moved the networks in solidarity with the detainee have received threats from the police so that they do not continue publishing anything. They have been asked to delete all the images and videos where “Monchito” appears and where it is clearly evident that he was in religious activity on the day of the crime attributed to him.
The family has no information on the real situation of the accused; It is the date and they have not allowed him free defense, they have not seen him or know of his situation, they are afraid of what could happen to them. Police recently searched the house without a warrant.
