A meat container with 648 kilos of cocaine from Asunción was seized on November 16 in the port of Antwerp, Belgium. The modus operandi is the same as the one detected in Montevideo five days later.
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNO-DC), through its Container Control Program, reported the seizure of a cargo from the port of Asunción, Paraguay.
The operation was carried out carried out on November 16 in the Port of Antwerp, Belgium, where they found 648.36 kg of cocaine in a container of frozen meat, supposedly also from the Beef Paraguay refrigerator, like the confiscated cargo in Montevideo.
Another recurring detail is that the bags were marked with a cross-shaped pintata, as in the operation in Montevideowhich took place on November 21, that is, five days later, where the final destination was Russia with a stopover in Antwerp, Belgium.
Regarding the cargo seized in Uruguaythe abdist Víctor Ramón Sanabria Oporto, Adelio Fretes García and Cándido Fretes They are investigated and found to be fugitives.

The authorities ordered seven raids in different parts of the country, as part of an investigation after the seizure in a Montevideo port of some 653 kilos of cocaine in a load of Paraguayan meat that was destined for Russia.
As part of the operating “Moscow connection” six of the raids took place at private homes, a ranch and a farm that are presumed to belong to three people considered suspicious of the shipment of the stash.
