The former head of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (Minjus), Marisol Pérez Tello, expressed her concern about the constant confrontation between the Executive Branch and the Congress of the Republic that keep the country in political uncertainty that has repercussions on the rest of the economic sectors. and social.
In this sense, the former official referred to the jurisdictional claim and the precautionary measure against the Government presented before the Constitutional Court.
“The topic of the jurisdictional action regarding the question of trust is the end of a film that begins with the attempt of the Executive to confront the Legislative with the attempt of the Legislative to confront the Executive, but that leaves all citizens in a situation of permanent instability”, Pérez Tello said after his participation in the II International Forum on Integrity and the Fight against Corruption.
In addition, the Tacna legislator between 2011 and 2016 was critical of the new Prime Minister Betssy Chávez regarding her work as a congresswoman from the southern region and explained that she does not meet the profile to lead the PCM.
“She has shown that she is incapable of running a ministry because she was censored. Now they have put her as president of the Council of Ministers to challenge Congress and show that they are not willing to leave. She does not qualify from an ethical point of view or from a professional and political point of view to occupy the position that she has now, ”added the former minister.
Pérez Tello also stated that the means used to remove President Pedro Castillo have not been sufficient and the Constitution must be modified to eliminate corruption from state institutions.
“These forced vacancy attempts and the complaint of treason against the homeland have done a lot of damage to the country. President Castillo has to be investigated, but the Constitution must be corrected in this shielding of power because there is nothing worse than corruption in and from power, ”he said.
It should be noted that Susana Silva, deputy of the Ombudsman’s Office, and former parliamentarian Alberto de Belaunde also participated in the II International Forum on Integrity and the Fight against Corruption.
