The Government of the Dominican Republic announced that the Easter royalty, also known as double salary or salary 13, will be delivered starting next Monday, December 5 for public servants, pensioners and the military.
The sum that will be provided by the government from next Monday exceeds 25 billion pesos, as reported by the national treasurer, Luis Rafael Delgado Sánchez through a press conference.
The official specified that the delivery will cover RD$16,500 million 557 thousand 749 pesos to the servers of the Central Government, RD$5,596 million 912 thousand 925 pesos to those of decentralized or autonomous institutions, and one million 626 thousand dollars, equivalent to RD$88 million 405 thousand 620 pesos for the payment of the royalty to public employees who provide services abroad.
Why will it be delivered on December 5?
The national treasurer informed that the date of December 5 was chosen again by order of the president Luis Abinader so that Dominican families can plan their budget for this Christmas in time.

“The desire of the Dominican Government is that families welcome the news of the delivery of the double salary early and that they make the best use of the resources they receive this Christmas 2022,” said Luis Rafael Delgado.
Who will be delivered first?
According to the national treasurer, the first to collect the salary 13 will be the pensioners, members of the Armed Forces and the National Police, and then it will continue with the other institutions.
The indicated amounts do not include the municipalities because they have their own budgets.
The national treasurer, Luis Rafael Delgado Sánchez, suggested that public institutions upload their payrolls early in the electronic payment system to expedite the delivery of salary 13 to public servants.
