A pregnant Venezuelan woman identified as Mairuth Cárdenas Sánchez died after being shot in the abdomen by an unknown subject who was arguing with her partner in the department of Sucre, in Colombia.
According to the first investigations by the Colombian authorities, the murder occurred in the middle of a discussion between the sentimental couple of the venezuelanLuis Ángel Castilla Sánchez and another man who was in the place.
Local media They report that initially it was an exchange of words for an act of intolerance, but seconds later the subject pulled out a firearm and shot the couple.
One of the bullets hit Mairuth’s abdomen and although the young mother was taken to an emergency care center, she lost her life; while her partner was injured after the attack.
The event occurred in an establishment in the municipality of San Pedro, department of Sucre on Sunday, November 27, at approximately 2:00 in the morning.
Units of the Judicial and Criminal Investigation Section (sijin) carried out the urgent acts and the compilation of probative material elements to find the whereabouts of the perpetrator of this crime, who fled the premises on a motorcycle.
The venezuelan 27 years old, she was a native of the city of Maracaibo and had lived in Colombia for a year, she was also the mother of two other minors.
